Yoga Teacher Training – Terms & Conditions

Sthira Yoga Academy | Winter 2026

Enrolment & Commitment

Enrolment in the Sthira Yoga Academy 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (Winter 2026) is confirmed once payment is received in full or an approved deposit is paid, all required enrolment forms are completed, and acceptance into the program is confirmed by Sthira Yoga Academy.

This training is delivered as a cohesive educational program over multiple weekends and integration periods. By enrolling, students commit to full participation, attendance, and completion of all required components of the course. Enrolment is non-transferable.

Course Hours & Scheduling

This is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance–accredited Yoga Teacher Training, delivered in accordance with the approved syllabus and standards of Sthira Yoga Academy as a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Training hours are completed through a combination of in-person training weekends, guided practice, integration periods, and self-study, as defined by the program curriculum.

Any appointment duration shown in booking or scheduling systems (for example, 30 or 720 minutes) is administrative only and does not represent the length, structure, or delivery format of the training.

Sthira Yoga Academy reserves the right to structure, sequence, and deliver the training hours in alignment with Yoga Alliance requirements and the educational integrity of the program.

Payment Options & Refund Policy

Sthira Yoga Academy is an approved Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. All enrolments, payments, withdrawals, and refunds are governed by Yoga Alliance educational guidelines and Sthira Yoga Academy’s business Terms & Conditions. These policies reflect the academic, logistical, and regulatory obligations of an approved Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.

Pay in Full

Students may choose to pay the full course fee upfront. Payment in full is the only enrolment option available after 15 February 2026, due to the proximity of the course commencement date and the academic and administrative commitments required of an approved Yoga Alliance training.

Of the total course fee, $500 AUD is non-refundable.

If a student seeks to withdraw prior to the commencement of training, any refund of the remaining balance (excluding the non-refundable $500 portion) is subject to written approval by Sthira Yoga Academy and will be assessed in accordance with Yoga Alliance requirements and the educational commitments of the program. Where approved, any eligible refund will be processed no sooner than 21 days after written notice of withdrawal is received.

Sthira Yoga Academy reserves the right to decline a refund request where withdrawal reasons are not consistent with Yoga Alliance standards, course commitments, or the Academy’s Terms & Conditions.
Once the training has commenced and attendance has begun, no refunds are available.

Deposit & Payment Plan (Limited Availability)

A payment plan option is available for a limited enrolment period only.

Students who enrol on or before 15 February 2026 may choose the payment plan option, which requires a $500 AUD non-refundable deposit to secure a provisional place in the training.

The remaining balance is paid in equal instalments as agreed and must be paid in full prior to the commencement of training, in line with Yoga Alliance enrolment requirements.

After 15 February 2026, the payment plan option is no longer available and payment in full is required to enrol.
If a student withdraws prior to the commencement of training, the $500 deposit may be transferred as studio credit in the student’s name (see Section 4).

Once the training has commenced and attendance has begun, no refunds or credits are available.

Non-Refundable Portion, Deferral & Studio Credit

In the event of withdrawal prior to the commencement of training, the $500 non- refundable portion of the course fee may, at the discretion of Sthira Yoga Academy, be:

  • Transferred as studio credit in the student’s name, or
  • Applied toward a deferral to a future Yoga Teacher Training intake

Deferral requests must be made in writing and are subject to approval based on availability, timing, and the student’s circumstances. Approved deferrals are valid for one future intake only and must be used within 24 months of the original training start date.

Where a deferral is approved, no refund of fees is provided, and the student’s enrolment is transferred to the agreed future intake under the Terms & Conditions in place at that time. If a deferral is not requested or not approved, the $500 non-refundable portion may be transferred as studio credit in the student’s name.

Studio credit:

  • May be applied to Sthira Yoga Academy classes, private sessions, workshops, special events, or future training offerings
  • Is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
  • Is not redeemable for cash
  • Is not transferable to another person

Withdrawal After Commencement

Once the training has commenced and attendance has begun, no refunds or credits are available, regardless of attendance, personal circumstances, or change of intention.

This policy reflects the academic, logistical, and regulatory commitments required of an approved Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.

Attendance & Completion Requirements

To be eligible for certification, students are expected to:

  • Attend all scheduled training sessions (reasonable exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Sthira Yoga Academy)
  • Complete assigned homework and self-study tasks
  • Complete a multiple-choice assessment
  • Deliver a 20-minute pre-planned and practised mock yoga class

Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all course requirements.

Health, Participation & Responsibility

Students must complete a Health & Participation Waiver prior to the commencement of training. Yoga is a physical practice. By enrolling, students acknowledge that they participate at their own risk and are responsible for working within their physical, mental, and emotional limits.

Sthira Yoga Academy reserves the right to recommend modification, rest, or withdrawal from specific practices if required for student safety.

Code of Conduct

The Sthira Yoga Teacher Training is conducted within a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment that supports safety, inquiry, and growth for all participants.

Students are expected to engage with the training, fellow students, and teaching staff in a manner consistent with:

  • The values and standards of Sthira Yoga Academy
  • The ethical and professional guidelines of Yoga Alliance
  • The responsibilities of participation in an accredited educational program

Sthira Yoga Academy reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue enrolment if a student’s behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, unethical, or inconsistent with the values, expectations, or professional standards of the training.

Such decisions may be made in the interest of student safety, group integrity, and compliance with Yoga Alliance requirements, and may be exercised at the Academy’s discretion.

Where enrolment is refused or discontinued under these circumstances, no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be offered.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to receive a Yoga Alliance–accredited 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification through Sthira Yoga Academy.

Certification is awarded upon:

  • Full attendance and participation in all required training components
  • Completion of assigned coursework, self-study, and homework activities
  • Successful completion of a multiple-choice assessment
  • Delivery of a prepared and assessed 20-minute mock teaching class
  • Payment of all fees and charges in full

Upon meeting these requirements, students will receive an internationally recognised Yoga Alliance certificate, qualifying them to register as a RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.

Certification does not guarantee employment or teaching placement.

Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in the Sthira Yoga Academy Yoga Teacher Training, students confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Code of Ethics & Professional Standards

Sthira Yoga Academy is committed to delivering the Yoga Teacher Training in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner, in alignment with Yoga Alliance standards and best practices for accredited yoga education.

Students acknowledge that participation in a teacher training involves personal inquiry, challenge, feedback, and growth, and that discomfort or disagreement does not in itself constitute unprofessional conduct.

Raising Concerns

If a student has concerns regarding teaching, conduct, or program delivery, they are expected to raise these concerns directly and in writing with Sthira Yoga Academy at the time they arise, allowing a reasonable opportunity for review, clarification, or resolution.

Concerns raised after withdrawal from the training, or for the primary purpose of disputing fees, refunds, or enrolment decisions, may not be considered grounds for reassessment of financial or enrolment outcomes.

Limitation of Claims

Withdrawal from the training does not, of itself, constitute evidence of unprofessional conduct, breach of ethics, or failure to meet Yoga Alliance standards on the part of Sthira Yoga Academy.

Refunds, credits, or changes to enrolment status will not be granted on the basis of subjective dissatisfaction, change of intention, personal circumstance, or retrospective claims not raised during active participation in the program.

Good Faith Participation

By enrolling in the training, students agree to engage in the program in good faith, to communicate concerns responsibly, and to respect the professional boundaries and decision-making authority of Sthira Yoga Academy as an approved Registered Yoga School.
