February 2026 | Sthira Yoga Academy, Southern Highlands NSW
This February, Sthira Yoga Academy is offering a Beginner Yoga Workshop in Mittagong, designed for anyone new to yoga — or for those wanting to return to the fundamentals with clarity, confidence, and understanding.

Held in the Southern Highlands, this small-group workshop unfolds across three Saturdays 10:30 – 12:00:
- Saturday 7 February
- Saturday 14 February
- Saturday 21 February
Each session runs for 90 minutes, allowing time to move steadily, ask questions, and explore yoga in a calm, supportive environment. A supportive introduction to yoga.
This workshop offers a step-by-step guide to the foundational yoga postures, making it ideal for:
- Beginners new to yoga
- Anyone feeling unsure in regular yoga classes
- Those curious about vinyasa flow yoga and how poses link together
- Practitioners wanting a clearer understanding of alignment, breath, and movement
Rather than rushing through a full class, we slow things down to explore:
- How yoga poses are built
- Safe and accessible alignment principles
- Modifications for different bodies and abilities
- How breath supports stability and ease in movement
Practice, enquiry, and integration
Each session includes:
- Guided instruction and demonstration
- Time for discussion and questions
- Practical exploration of individual poses
- A short integrated practice at the end of each session, applying what’s been learned
This creates space for self-enquiry, understanding, and embodied learning, rather than performance or pressure. Small-group learning in the Southern Highlands. .The workshop is limited to 10 participants, ensuring individual attention and a relaxed learning atmosphere. Currently, four places are already booked, with a few spots still available. Easy to get to – parking & transport.
Sthira Yoga Academy is located in Mittagong, Southern Highlands NSW, within the Beaumont Gardens complex.
- Plenty of easy off-street parking available
- A short walk from Mittagong Train Station
- Convenient access from Bowral, Moss Vale, Wollongong, Goulburn, and South West Sydney

Why this beginner yoga workshop?

- Develop strength, stability, and awareness
- Feel more at ease attending regular yoga classes
If you’ve ever thought “I’m not flexible enough,” “I don’t know what I’m doing,” or “I’d like to understand yoga more deeply,” this workshop offers a welcoming place to begin.
