Join a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

There’s a common belief that you need to be flexible, experienced, or somehow “good at yoga” before stepping into a Yoga Teacher Training. This simply isn’t true.

A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is not about mastering poses it’s about understanding yourself more deeply through the practice of yoga. At Sthira Yoga Academy, this training is designed as a journey of the self, by the self, to the self. It is an opportunity to explore philosophy, history, breath, and awareness not to perfect shapes.

What Is a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training? (And What the ‘200 Hours’ Really Means)

A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is the foundational qualification required to become a yoga teacher and register with Yoga Alliance. At Sthira Yoga Academy, this training is:

  • 100% in-person
  • Delivered to meet and exceed Yoga Alliance standards
  • Structured across 4 semesters over approximately 5 months
  • Held on Friday evenings and Saturdays
  • There are no online modules or at-home components just direct, in-person learning.

Is a 200-Hour YTT the Same as a 200-Hour RYT?

YTT refers to Yoga Teacher Training the course itself. Once completed, you can register with Yoga Alliance and become an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher).
