Sthira Yoga Academy is a purpose-built, independently operated yoga studio in Mittagong<\/strong>, also serving Bowral<\/strong> and the wider Southern Highlands<\/strong> community. As a small regional micro-studio, the Academy offers a personal and thoughtfully considered approach to yoga. Our Vinyasa<\/strong>, Yin<\/strong>, Gentle<\/strong> and Kundalini Yoga <\/strong>classes are held in a calm, fully equipped space conveniently located next to Toshi\u2019s<\/strong>, with ample parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside regular studio classes, we offer teacher training, workshops and private yoga sessions designed to cultivate steadiness, strength and clarity in everyday life. Every offering is personally shaped and managed by founder Travis Chambers, creating a welcoming place where students can develop a meaningful and sustainable yoga practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sthira Yoga Classes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Winter at Sthira is designed to feel warm, grounding, and comfortable \u2014 without becoming overly hot or intense. The studio is heated with radiant bar heaters (similar to infrared warmth), ceiling insulation, and additional heaters to gently moderate the cold. Temperatures will generally sit around 18\u00b0C for slower practices and between 20\u201324\u00b0C for more active classes. This is not hot yoga. The intention is simply to take the edge off winter while allowing the body to build its own warmth through movement and breath. In many ways, winter is one of the best times to practise \u2014 the body warms from within, and the practices can feel clearing, invigorating, and energising for the day ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
